HARNESS RACING INTERNATIONAL ARTICLE - EILEAN DONON

Named for a castle in Scotland, Eilean Donon raced his entire career in North America for a worthy cause with one-third of his earnings being directed towards ConQuest, a national network of clubs and camps for Catholic boys age five to 15.

Fortunately for ConQuest, Eilean Donon was an exceptional trotter from the very first time he stepped onto a racetrack at Kawartha Downs on 7th October, 2003 in a race for Ontario SS eligibles.

He won five of his first six starts including two Ontario SS Gold eliminations and one $100,000 Ontario SS Gold final, the $80,827 Champlain and then was runner up in the elimination and $357,568 Final of the Campbellville Stakes (set back to third in the final for interference).

Another second in an Ontario SS Gold elimination at Mohawk led to his second victory in a $100,000 Ontario SS Gold Final a week later.
