Aldebaran Park Update - December 2016

Preparation of the Aldebaran Park consignment for the Pryde’s EasiFeed Australasian Premier Trotting Sale, to be held at Oaklands Junction on April 2, has been stepped up in the last few weeks.

We will be offering six colts and four fillies at the sale including three by this year’s record-breaking USA sire Muscle Hill USA.

There’s a Muscle Hill USA colt out of the top racemare Countessa Hest NZ, the dam of winner Aldebaran Hest, and fillies from Aldebaran Revenue, a half-sister to the dam of this year’s 2 YO Breeders Crown champion Kyvalley Kyrie, and Kyvalley Aldebaran, a half-sister to Kiwi star Allegro Agitato and a half-sister to our champion resident stallion SKYVALLEY.

Speaking of SKYVALLEY, we will be selling two colts and a filly by him at the APTS. They include a half-brother to national record holder Maori Time and the promising Maori Law, a half-brother to the Breeders Crown and Vicbred finalist Aldebaran Midnite and a sister to the cups winner Aldebaran Deebee and half-sister to Go Ahead Makemyday.

We are also offering an Angus Hall half-brother to Never Never Land and Aldebaran Ten; a Majestic Son filly out of a sister to YIELD BOKO; an EILEAN DONON colt from a half-sister to Aldebaran Daisy and Bee A Lassie; and a Revenue colt closely related to the ID champion Our Real Force.

On the racing front, SKYVALLEY led in a quinella at Bendigo on Christmas Eve with Kimmywho (her 7th win) beating Aldebaran Midnite, while Spotlight The Valley (by SKYVALLEY) notched her third win at Gore, New Zealand.

Meanwhile Aldebaran Eastwood (Eilean Donon-Dirty Harriett) was placed twice in smart time in Western Australia

Aldebaran Macha and Riccardo, a pair of Aldebaran Park-bred pacers, emerged successful on either side of the Tasman in December. Aldebaran Macha (ex Aldebaran Bromac) sent his stake earnings over the $100,000 mark with a 1:55.6 romp at Melton, while Riccardo (ex Awesome Lover), one of New Zealand’s leading three-year-olds, notched his third win from five starts at Addington, rating 1:58.4 with the last 800 in 55.5 and 400 in 26.5.

Aldebaran Park is also offering three well bred pacing yearlings at the Australian Pacing Gold sale at Oaklands Junction on February 5.

Lot 55 is a Mach Three brother to the Northern Region Championship and Melton winner Aldebaran Macha¸ Lot 59 is a Mach Three filly full sister to Aldebaran Brandi  2, 157.2 – 9 wins and Lot 190 is an Art Major half-sister to one of New Zealand’s most outstanding three-year-olds in Riccardo 2, 1:56.9, the winner of three of his five starts to date including his last two at Addington.

Aldebaran Eagle USA, owned by Aldebaran Park and who has been earmarked for a stud career at the farm, won in 1:54 at The Meadowlands, New Jersey to boost his stakes tally to almost $US240,000. The brilliant, young son of Muscle Hill USA holds a lifetime mark of 1:52.2.
