Skyvalley for Speed!

February and March are synonymous with the rich Aldebaran Park sponsored Breed For Speed and Need For Speed series for trotters in Victoria.

And, Aldebaran Park and its resident sire SKYVALLEY are right in the thick of the action!

Rift Valley, a four-year-old daughter of SKYVALLEY, captured a heat of the Breed For Speed Silver Series at Bendigo in a career-best 1:59.8 – her fifth lifetime success, while Aldebaran Ay M, bred and owned by Aldebaran Park, finished runner-up in a Breed For Speed Bronze Series at Bendigo.

The SKYVALLEY pair Sky Petite and Sky Majesty both ran second in heats of the Breed For Speed Gold Series and Silver Series respectively at Shepparton.

The abovementioned have all graduated to compete for prizemoney in excess of $70,000 and trophies at the all-trotting meeting at Melton on 11th March 2017.

Aldebaran Eastwood and Imamenace, both members of EILEAN DONON’s first crop, were impressive winners on either side of the country in February.

Aldebaran Eastwood (ex Dirty Harriet), who was bred by Aldebaran Park, took out the Group 2 $30,000 Free-for-all at Gloucester Park to send his earnings over the $55,000 mark, while Imamenace, a Group 1 winner at 3, won at his first two starts since a long spell at Shepparton.

Aldebaran Macha, bred by Aldebaran Park out of Aldebaran Bromac, posted win No 16 at Geelong, while Aldebaran Southland (Sundon - Big OE Nz), bred and owned by Aldebaran Park, was a very impressive winner a heat of the Aldebaran Park Monte Championship at Kilmore.

Albebaran Park was active at the New Zealand yearling sales in February. We sold the Muscle Hill filly Aldeabaran Rosa (ex Solar Powered) for $60,000 and the Dream Vacation colt Aldebaran Carleton (ex Another Love) for $54,000 at the NZ Premier in Christchurch.

While, at the Australasian Classic at Karaka, we were the successful bidders for Legendary Lover, a Muscle Hill colt out of the well-related Love Ya Doosie for $125,000, the to[p price paid for a trotter at the auction.
