Skyvalley Trifecta in Vicbred

SKYVALLEY, the leading colonial bred trotting stallion again this season, sired the trifecta in the Vicbred Super Series heat for four-year-old mares at Geelong with Rift Valley, Aldebaran Eve and Kyvalley Topcat.

Meadow Valley Sky, a two-year-old filly by SKYVALLEY, won twice at Maryborough including a heat of the Vicbred, while the four-year-old Maori Law, whose dam, Sundonna, is owned by Aldebaran Park, won a Vicbred heat at Geelong, his fourth win on end.

Aldebaran Park bred and owned winners in June were Aldebaran Southland (his 12th win), and the three-year-old Aldebaran Prince (ex Charming Yankee NZ), who registered his first success at Charlton.

Fend Off¸ a two-year-old gelding and one of the first crop of international trotting star YIELD BOKO, became his sire’s first ‘Down Under’ winner when he captured a heat of the Vicbred in runaway fashion at Maryborough. The youngster was bred by Aldebaran Park out of Aldebaran Sunset NZ.

Other Aldebaran Park-bred winners were Bee A Lassie (Eilean Donon-Aldebaran Honey), a double winner at Globe Derby Park, and Aldebaran Ten (ex Aldebaranfavourite), who completed his fifth win in a row.

Aldebaran Park notched an important double at Ballarat on June 16. Zhenya, a recent acquisition, posted her eleventh lifetime success, while Abitofmagic, whose dam, Mason Magic, was purchased by Aldebaran Park recently, notched her third win from three starts this season.

Other SKYVALLEY winners in June have been Princess Mackendon, who won twice at Auckland, Waikare Astronomer, who set a new track record at Ararat, Kyvalley Boomerang (11 wins and $90,000+), Black Valley and Gap Year.

SKYVALLEY has left 32 individual winners this season to date and progeny earnings of almost $550,000.
