NSW Feature Race Double - May 2026

Aldebaran Park bred or sired performers captured two of the biggest trotting features on the NSW calendar this year.

Firstly, Rockinwithattitude, ALDEBARAN EAGLE’s richest and fastest progeny, lowered her lifetime mark to 1:52.1 when she scored a convincing win in the Group 1 $100,000 Macarthur Mile at Menangle. 

Aldebaran Acrux USA Tr 1.55.0 - $188,998.00, owned by Aldebaran Park ran third for the second consecutive year.

Rockinwithattitude now boasts the splendid career record of 47 starts for 23 wins and 13 placings for $605,567 in stakes.

The talented Aldebaran Park bred three-year-old filly Aldebaran Ada (ex Aldebaran Aliza – Muscle Hill USA) outsprinted her rivals to win the $125,000 Listed Nutrien Classic Sales Race Series Final at Wagga Wagga in New South Wales in a new lifetime mark of 1:59.5 over 2270 metres. The $68,125 winner’s cheque improved her earnings to $115,449.

Another homebred in Aldebaranstilinski (ex Aldebaran Sky – Muscle Hill USA) sliced 1.1 seconds off the Albion Park track record for the 2138 metres mobile when he rated a sparkling 1:54.9 in his emphatic win on May 16.

A fortnight earlier the five-year-old gelding hoisted a fresh lifetime mark of 1:54.8 over 1660 metres at the Brisbane headquarters’ track. Aldebaranstilinski has won six of his 11 starts this season and 13 of his 50 lifetime outings for $112,372 in stakes.

Other ALDEBARAN EAGLE USA winners in May were Night Flight Tr 2.00 at Geelong in Victoria and Mystery Fred at Pinjarra at Pinjarra in Western Australia..

ALDEBARAN EAGLE’s studmate SKYVALLEY NZ, third on this season’s winners list as at 31st May 2026, was represented by the recent winners Mac Flick TR 1:59.5 (Melton), Karbine - Tr 2.00 – 7 wins at Bendigo in Victoria and Golden Skies Tr 2.00 at Port Pirie in South Australia.

SKYVALLEY NZ also figured as the Damsire of the $125,000 Nutrien Classic Sales Race 3YO winner Munny The Munster (1:59.7), the Bulli Trotters Cup I Am Hellbound, the Melton winners Im Bobby (Tr 1:55.2) and Coltrane, Aldebaran Denbay and the Auckland – New Zealand winner M’Lady Mackendon.

Aldebaran Park bred no less than nine individual winners of 12 races during the month.

Besides Aldebaranstilinski, we bred the siblings 3yo Aldebaran Ada and 4yo Aldebaran Abel, the promising two-year-old filly Aldebaran Emjay (ex Mason Magic), Aldebaran Denbay (ex Aldebaran Deebee), Aldebaran Zane (ex Zhenya NZ), Aldebaran Marcus Tr 1:59.9 (ex Naked Majesty), Aldebaran Redwood NZ (ex Another Love NZ) and Generally Speaking USA (ex Maori Time), a winner in 1:55.4 at Hoosier Park, Indiana, USA.

In further news, Aldebaran Park purchased a yearling filly named Up The Mountain SWE, ( To be renamed Aldebaran Nicole SWE )a product of the 2023 Eliteloppet winner Hohneck FRA – 30,692.110 SEK from the Dam – In The Air Tonight SWE Tr 1.55.1 - $623,947 SEK herself from the outstanding European Stallion Infinitif IT – 6,118,565 SEK. 

As per the Sales Catalogue – Up The Mountain SWE is by Hohneck FRA who has had a brilliant start in breeding in France and has produced several top vintages. He has also proven himself to be a top stallion with a few horses in Sweden. The mother of Up The Mountain is the fine competition horse In The Air Tonight who was extremely talented and versatile. Among other things, she won on her debut and a two-year-old. As a Four-year-old she ran 11.6 as the finishing photo team out on the tracks. She also competed successfully in France, where she often faced tough competition. In The Air tonight is part of a sibling group of durable horses, several of which have earned more than half a million and have asserted themselves in V75. Grandmother Sugar speed was among the top of her year in Norway and was, among other things, third in the Norwegian Stallion Derby and second in the Jarlsberg Grand Prix, the mare division. 

Up the Mountain will be trained and driven by Oskar J Andersson Gyllenberg – OJA Racing – with his wife – Paula Gyllenberg at their farm approximately 2 hours NW of Stockholm. We look forward to her progression in the coming 12 months.
