Dual Group 1 success - July 2019

SKYVALLEY’s brilliant son Kyvalley Finn became his sire’s second Vicbred champion and his eighth $100,000 earner when he scored a thrilling last stride win in the Group 1 $100,000 Aldebaran Park Vicbred Super Series Final for four-year-old entires and geldings at Melton.

The former multiple Group 1 placegetter pushed his earnings to $134,990 with his impressive come-from-behind success.

SKYVALLEY was represented by five Vicbred finalists with Kyvalley Finn (1st - 4YO E&G), Pink Galahs (3rd - 2YOF), Reils (4th - 4YO E&G), Daring Angel (11th – 2YOF) and Flash Kyvalley (12th – 4YO E&G).

YIELD BOKO had two finalists in Aldebaran Jaytee (5th – 4YO E&G) and Forever Kronos (11th – 4YOM).

Aldebaran Park gained their second Group 1 success for the month when the homebred youngster Jaspervellabeach led throughout in the $125,000 WA Golden Slipper at Gloucester Park. The win was the colt’s fourth from only six starts and increased his bankroll to $123,133.

Another Aldebaran Park bred pacer in the three-year-old filly Chezmac won for the sixth time at Newcastle in a career-best 1:57.

Back to the square-gaiters. SKYVALLEY, who is in third position on the All Aged list, left five individual winners in July.

Besides Kyvalley Finn, SKYVALLEY also left the two-year-old filly Daring Angel, who won at Melton and Ballarat, the 1:58.6 Menangle winner Scenic Sky, Black Valley (1:59, Maryborough) and Orlando Princess (Bendigo), while Pink Galahs finished runner-up in The Maori Legend at Stawell.

YIELD BOKO and EILEAN DONON, who can both boast a terrific winners-to-foals ratio, left trotting winners in July. The former was represented by the Aldebaran Park bred Flyin Around (Maryborough) and Godofthunder (Globe Derby Park), while the latter sired a ‘new’ winner in the three-year-old filly Classy Spirit (Ballarat).
