Aldebaran Park principal Duncan McPherson OAM outlined his desire to see the club find ways to increase interaction with the local community and boost participation in the sport through a range of initiatives.

“It’s exciting times for our sport and I think that if we can get syndication models going and then obviously create opportunities for participation both from an ownership (and) also from an experience point of view, why not?” McPherson said.

“It’s a great carnival and I think we can add to it and increase its audience base over the next three to five years.

“With the good working party that (MHRC general manager) Les (Chapman) has got, I’m sure that the club will rise to the occasion and fit the mantra, ideologies and synergies that we’ve created together.”
