July 2020 Update
Our 3yo filly Kela Hale Boko continues to work well in the stable of Pasi Aikio, head trainer at Menhammar Stuteri, but to date has not yet made it to the racetrack. ‘Kela’ was one of a number of horses who contracted a virus in early May that took hold through the entire stable. She has now recovered and is working towards qualifying soon.
On the breeding front, it is very pleasing to report that Maori Time is confirmed in foal to Readly Express. Aldebaran Teal foaled a Readly Express Colt in early June. Her yearling Filly Aldebaran Bardot by Charly Du Noyer has furnished into a lovely horse.

January 2020 Update
Our 3yo filly Kela Hale Boko continues to work well in the stable of Pasi Aikio, head trainer at Menhammar Stuteri. She has had a relatively trouble free education and preparation to date, so we are excited by the prospect of her hitting the racetrack as a 3yo. All going to plan it is expected that she will attempt to qualify around May 2020. We were able to view her in the flesh during a recent visit to Sweden. She has furnished into a strong, robust filly and is one of 19 3yo’s currently in work at Menhammar.
Unfortunately our Ready Cash filly, Lynn M Boko, was diagnosed with cancer during November and had to be euthanised.
Our recent visit to Sweden also provided an opportunity to inspect our Swedish based broodmares Maori Time and Aldebaran Teal. Both mares are in excellent condition. Maori Time will be served by Readly Express in early February 2020. Fingers crossed that she is able to get in foal this season. Aldebaran Teal is safely in foal to Readly Express with the foal due in late May 2020. All going well, the plan is to attempt to breed her on ‘foal heat’ to Readly Express again.
Aldebaran Teal’s Charly du Noyer filly is developing into a very impressive Yearling and a decision will be made shortly as to whether she remains in the Aldebaran Park Team as a potential racehorse, or whether she is entered into one of the Swedish Yearling Sales.
Our thanks to Johan Hellander, and all the staff at Menhammar Stuteri, for their work with the broodmares and foal.

September 2019 Update
Our now 2yo filly Kela Hale Boko (Broadway Hall x Ela Boko) continues to work well in the stable of Pasi Aikio, head trainer at Menhammar Stuteri. She has had a trouble free education and preparation to date, so we are excited by the prospect of her hitting the racetrack as a 3yo. It is very exciting to announce that earlier this year Aldebaran Park Sweden acquired a Ready Cash filly named Lynn M Boko (Ready Cash x Ordalia O.P.) from Boko Stables in Holland. The filly has been transferred to the stables of Timo Nurmos for her education.
Our Europe based mare Aldebaran Teal (Going Kronos x Jeune Fille) foaled a lovely Charly du Noyer Filly. Thanks to Erik & Loes Dragt at Haras de Corneville in Normandie in France for their efforts. Subsequent to the foaling, a decision was made to breed the mare to Readly Express this season. Through the efforts of Menhammar Stuteri and Haras de Cornville, we have been successful in getting Aldebaran Teal in foal. Just as exciting is Menhammar Stuteri agreeing to sharing in the ownership of Aldebaran Teal and the foal. As a consequence they have both now been shipped up to Sweden. Aldebaran Teal now joins Maori Time at Menhammar Stuteri where both mares will be based. Unfortunately Maori Time is currently not in foal.

January 2019 Update
After a relatively quiet time in Europe, Aldebaran Park Sweden HB has a lot to look forward to in 2019.
Our now 2yo filly Kela Hale Boko (Broadway Hall x Ela Boko) has joined the stable os Pasi Aikio, head trainer at Menhammar Stuteri. After being broken in by Torbjorn Jannson, Torbjorn made the decision to retire from Training at the end of 2018. He recommended we approach Menhammar Stuteri, and they agreed to accept Kela Hale Boko into their stable. They train for ‘outside’ owners very rarely, so we are indeed extremely grateful to be given access to some of the best horse people and facilities available anywhere in the Trotting World. We were fortunate enough to visit Menhammar Stuteri, meet Pasi Aikio and get to see Kela Hale Boko ‘work’ this week.
Also this week we were able to visit Aldebaran Teal (Going Kronos x Jeune Fille) at the agistment farm of Haras de Corneville in Normandie in France. We met Erik and Loes Dragt and are again fortunate to have established strong relationships with such great Trotting People. Their farm is magnificent and we cannot wait until May when Aldebaran Teal’s foal by Charly du Noyer Is due. No decision has yet been made for the 2019 mating.
We can also announce that Aldebaran Park Sweden HB have acquired a half share in retired racemare Maori Time (Pegasus Spur - Sundonna). She will be domiciled at either Menhammar Stuteri or Haras de Corneville depending on the choice of Stallion made for her 2019 breeding. The intention is for her to remain in Europe and the resultant progeny be raced in Europe.

June 2018 Update
After a number of weeks in training in Denmark, Aldebaran Teal (Going Kronos x Jeune Fille) unfortunately ‘went sore’, and a decision was made to retire her immediately. We thank Nicole Marsing for her efforts with the mare during this time. A decision was made to transfer the mare to France with the intention to breed her in the current Northern Hemisphere breeding season. On the recommendation of John Bootsman, she was transferred to the agistment farm of Haras de Corneville. She has been bred to Charly Du Noyer, a very well performed son of Ready Cash.
During a recent visit to Boko Stables in The Netherlands, Aldebaran Park principal Duncan McPherson, secured the purchase of filly Kela Hale Boko (Broadway Hall x Ela Boko). The filly will be sent to Torbjorn Jansson in Sweden to be broken in and eventually find her way to the racetrack.

January 2018 Update
2017 saw a year of transition for Aldebaran Park Sweden HB.
Racemare Aldebaran Teal (Going Kronos x Jeune Fille) raced 9 times but was unable to recapture her 3yo form. A decision was made in December 2017 to transfer her to Nicole Marsing in Denmark to continue her racing career in 2018 prior to her being sent to Stud. She has settled in well in her new home and will hopefully be ready to race in March 2018. Our thanks to Torbjorn Jansson and his staff for their efforts with ‘Teal’ during her time in Sweden.
Broodmare Excellent Boko (Broadway Hall x Exciting Kronos) was bred to outstanding Swedish bred Racehorse Readly Express at the end of 2016. During 2017, the mare was transported to Aldebaran Park in Victoria, and in December 2017 produced a lovely Filly foal. This is the first ever progeny of Readly Express to be born in the Southern Hemisphere. The filly represents an exceptional bloodline and with the added excitement of Readly Express competing in the 2018 Prix de Amerique, our little girl may be ‘priceless’. The mare has been bred to Muscle Hill. Again our thanks to all involved at Mehammar Stuteri in Sweden who bred Excellent Boko under lights in the middle of their winter.
