March 2021 Update
Whilst the 2020 Racing Season saw our two 3yo fillies race competitively in the Pennsylvania Sires Series, it is fair to say that the overall results were disappointing.
Previously unraced Aldebaran Revani qualified in fast time at Magical Acres, and went on to race 10 times for two impressive wins. She set her personal best at Harrahs Philadelphia going 1.54.8. A decision was taken to relocate her to Australia to continue her racing career before joining the Aldebaran Park Broodmare band. She arrived safely at the end of January 2021 and has just begun pretraining with Danny Thackeray at Nagambie.
Syrinx Minx ran four second placings in her 9 starts for the season. Whilst extremely competitive, a decision was taken to sell her in September 2020. The decision proved fruitful for the new owners as she went on to win 3 overnight races prior to the end of the 2020 Racing Season.
Aldebaran Walkabout had an extremely disappointing season, and was sold at the end of The Red Mile season.
Whilst unable to attend the Yearling Sales, we were able to secure a Chapter Seven filly at the Black Book Sale. Renamed Aldebaran Acrux, the filly is out of Model Behaviour, a seven win Muscles Yankee mare. She was sent to the Florida Stables of Team JC Stable and has broken in very well. Jonas Czernyson is very happy with her progress to date, and we are looking forward to her 2yo Racing Season.

July 2020 Update
Despite the effects of COVID-19 impacting Harness Racing throughout the US, the 2020 Racing Season has finally kicked off.
All three horses, Aldebaran Walkabout, Aldebaran Revani and Syrinx Minx enjoyed a trouble free ‘winter vacation’ in Florida. The delayed start to the Racing Season caused by COVID-19 resulted in Team JC delaying their shipping back to New Jersey until late April. As the protocols around ‘safe return to racing’ were implemented through the USA Harness Racing Industry, a number of Stakes and State Based Sires Races were postponed from May and June until July.
This resulted in the Pennyslvania Sires Stakes for 3yo Fillies Aldebaran Revani and Syrinx Minx not commencing until mid July. Both ‘Revani’ and ‘Minx’ performed admirably in the first round of heats with ‘Revani’ running 3rd in 1.54.2 and ‘Minx’ ran 2nd in 1.57. Both Fillies are entered for the second round of Heats on 25th July.
Aldebaran Walkabout has now had two starts for the season, and most recently ran 3rd in 1.54.4 at Poconos. He will now push on with his 4yo season.
On the Breeding front, a decision was taken to sell our interests in Mistery Woman and Ophelia to Millstream Farm NJ.

January 2020 Update
The 2019 Racing Season did not produce the on track performances hoped for. Whilst both Aldebaran Walkabout and Syrinx Minx won races during the year, we had obviously hoped for more. Coupled with a decision being made to send Aldebaran Revani to the spelling paddock prior to attempting to qualify, and it is fair to say that a lot more was expected.
A decision was taken to geld Aldebaran Walkabout late in 2019 and to proceed with a 4yo racing campaign in the USA.
All three racehorses were sent to Florida in November 2019 and are currently well into their preparations for the 2020 Racing Season. It is anticipated that the horses will return to New Jersey in early April with a view to qualifying and racing in May 2020. All horses have been staked for the majority of races for which they are eligible.
On the Breeding front, Mistery Woman is in foal to Tactical Landing. Her second foal, a Muscle Hill colt named Sonofamistery sold at the Harrisburg Yearling Sale to Marcus Melander for $170,000. Our second broodmare Ophelia is in foal to Trixton.

September 2019 Update
The 2019 Racing Season has not yet provided the highs we had hoped for. It is however pleasing to report that September saw two Aldebaran Park Inc horses win at the famed Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky. 3yo Colt, Aldebaran Walkabout, won on the 5th September in a mile rate of 1.55.2. 2yo Filly, Syrinx Minx won on the 26th September in a mile rate of 1.56.8. Both horses will race on the final Grand Circuit day at Lexington and then return to New Jersey to continue their 2019 campaigns. Our other 2yo Filly, Aldebaran Revani should be attempting to qualify to race during October.
On the Breeding front, Mistery Woman produced a Colt foal by Walner, and she is in foal to Tactical Landing. Her second foal, a Muscle Hill colt named Sonofamistery is heading to the Harrisburg Yearling Sale. He sells as Lot 33 on Day One of the Sale. Our second broodmare Ophelia foaled a Filly by Devious Man, and is in foal to Trixton.

January 2019 Update
The culmination of the 2018 Racing Season saw Aldebaran Park Inc reflect on a Grand Circuit victory with the Australian Bred Aldebaran Walkabout (Muscle Hill - Aldebaran Dream) in the Bluegrass Series at the famed Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky. Aldebaran Park principal Duncan McPherson and Studmistress Melinda Thackeray were ‘on hand’ in Lexington to revel in the subsequent celebrations. Aldebaran Walkabout took a 2yo record of 1.55.4 winning a division of the Stallion Series at Mohegan Sun Poxon in August, and completed the season with a 7-2-1-0 record whilst amazing $55,800US in stakes. He represented the highlight of our 2yo racing crop, with Aurorus (Muscle Hill - Ellen’s Isle) being set aside in June to focus on a 3yo campaign and Princess Arista (Cantab Hall - My Dolly’s Dream) suffering breathing issues which resulted in her being sold as a Broodmare at the Harrisburg Sales in November.
Monday Nite continued to race competitively as a 3yo and was sold at the end of the season to Ohio to continue racing. Our other 3yo Woolworth was also sold at the Harrisburg Sale.
The 2018 Harrisburg Yearling Sale saw Aldebaran Park Inc purchase a filly by Donato Hanover out of Coffeecake Hanover. She will race as Aldebaran Revani. We also acquired controlling interest in a Muscle Massive filly out of Syrinx Song. She will race as Syrinx Minx.
Team JC decided to return to Florida this winter to break and train the horses so the full Aldebaran Park Inc contingent of Aldebaran Walkabout, Aurorus, Aldebaran Revani and Syrinx Minx are reveling in escaping the New Jersey winter. The stable will return to New Jersey around mid April for the race preparations to escalate.
On the Breeding front, Mistery Woman is in foal to Walner, with the foal due in March. Her second foal, a Muscle Hill colt will head to the Harrisburg Sale in November. Her first foal, Hillofamistery won as a 2yo last season. She will head to the recently retired Tactical Landing to breed this year. Broadway Hall mare Ophelia is in foal to Devious Man.

June 2018 Update
The first of Aldebaran Park Inc’s 2yos to ‘baby race’, Aurorus (Muscle Hill x Ellens Isle), qualified at Harrahs Philadelphia on the 19th June. She will kick off her racing career in early July. Aldebaran Walkabout (Muscle Hill x Aldebaran Turnpike)continues to work towards his racetrack debut, and our other 2yo, Princess Arista (Cantab Hall x My Dollys Dream), will qualify in mid July.
Our 3yo Racing Season kicked off well with Monday Nite winning at her racetrack debut at Harrahs Philadelphia on the 4th May. She has continued to race well through the Pennsylvania Stallion Series. Aldebaran Eureka has had a number of race starts, and whilst yet to find the winners circle, he continues to race competitively. Our other 3yo, Woolworth, will be at the qualifiers during July.
On the Breeding front, Mistery Woman foaled a Muscle Hill colt and is in foal to Walner. Recently retired Broadway Hall mare Ophelia has been successfully bred to Devious Man.

January 2018 Update
The depths of Winter in the US signals the start of the 2018 preparations for the Race Horses.
In 2018, Aldebaran Park Inc will be racing 2yos Aurorus (Filly – Muscle Hill x Ellens Isle), Lindy Star (Filly – Cantab Hall x My Dollys Dream – half sister to 1.51 Mistery Woman) and the Australian bred Aldebaran Walkabout (Colt – Muscle Hill x Aldebaran Turnpike). The export of Aldebaran Walkabout to the US represents an exceptionally exciting phase in the global movement of Aldebaran Park trotters. Whilst bred at Aldebaran Park in Victoria, the Colt was shipped to Team JC in New Jersey during 2017 to acclimatize prior to being broken in with our US Bred acquisitions. Our 3yo Racehorses for 2018 are Aldebaran Eureka (Gelding – Yankee Glide x Aldebaran Malibu), Monday Night (Filly – Yankee Glide x Balance The Paige) and Woolworth (Colt – So Surreal x Habit). Whilst none of these raced as 2yos last season, all three are expected to be competitive this season.
Aldebaran Park Inc sold at the 2017 Harrisburg Sales held in early November. The first foal of Mistery Woman, a Muscle Hill Colt named Hillofamistery sold for $US210k. Our thanks to Millstream Farm for the preparation of the Yearling. Broodmare Mistery Woman is again in foal to Muscle Hill, and we eagerly awaiting her foaling down in March.
