The ‘Eagle’ lands at Aldebaran Park

Aldebaran Eagle USA, the now defunct son of former champion trotter and now premier sire Muscle Hill USA, is already well on the way to proving a success with his first four racing crops.
From his first crop of 10 foals, he has sired five winners including Aldebaran Dexta, a winner of 16 races including the time-honoured SA Parker Classic and a dual Globe Derby Park track record holder, the Group 3 Vicbred 2YO Silver winner Aldebaran Boyd and the dual Breeders Crown finalist Aldebaran Demi (1:58.3)
The second crop of Aldebaran Eagle USA are currently racing as four-year-olds and include the 2022 Australian 2YO Filly Trotter of the Year and 2023 Australian 3YO Filly Trotter of the Year Rockinwithattitude 1:57.9 ($343,342), Dichotomy ($82,310), a placegetter in the Breeders Crown 2YO Final and Vicbred 3YO Final, Aldebaran Jensen 1:56.9 (APG 3YO Sales Classic) and Aldebaran Stiles (9 wins to date).
Aldebaran Eagle’s current crop of two-year-olds include the winners El Tornado, Mystery Fred, Gatesy’s Gem and Myheartbeatstrue.

Aldebaran Eagle USA was a top racehorse in his own right, winning almost $240,000 in North America.
As a two-year-old he finished in the money in seven of his 11 starts and took his record of 1:55.2 winning a division of the Group 1 International Stallion Stakes at Lexington, in which he defeated the Peter Haughton Memorial winner Centurion ATM. He was also placed in divisions of the Arden Downs, Kindergarten and Champlain Stakes and eliminations of the William Wellwood Memorial and Valley Victory.
Aldebaran Eagle USA competed against and held his own against the best male trotters in America as a three-year-old. He finished runner-up in a heat of the Hambletonian (6th in Final), second in the Colonial Trot and third in the New Jersey Sire Stakes Championship at The Meadowlands.
He took his lifetime mark of 1:52.2 as a three-year-old winning at The Meadowlands.
Returning as a four-year-old, Aldebaran Eagle USA won a further four races at The Meadowlands and Lexington in 1:52.4, 1:52.6, 1:53 and 1:54.
A $70,000 purchase at the 2013 Harrisburg Black Book Sale, Aldebaran Eagle USA is one of the first crop of 2009 Hambletonian winner Muscle Hill USA, one of the greatest sons of the mighty Muscles Yankee with a bankroll of $3,273,342.
Muscle Hill USA is now the sire of the winners of more than $60million, nine millionaires, six world champions and two in 1:50 including Marion Marauder 1:51.4 ($3.3m), Resolve 1:50.8 ($2.6m), Ariana G 1:50.4 ($2.4m), Manchego 1:49 ($2.1m), Southwind Frank 1:52.2 ($1.9m), Mission Brief 1:50.4 ($1.5m), Propulsion 1:49.6 and Trixton 1:50.6.
Aldebaran Eagle USA is out of Letsjustalkaboutme USA (Tr 1:56.2), a daughter of the Hambletonian winner Self Possessed USA from Armbro Talk USA, by S J’s Photo USA from Armbro Hilary Ca (Tr 1:57), by Speedy Crown USA from the champion racemare Delmegan USA Tr 1:55.6 ($469,593).
His dam, Letsjustalkaboutme, has left five winners including four in 1:55 from seven foals of racing age including the multiple Stakes winning filly Haughty Tr 1:54.2 ($330,492) and Sermon (Tr, 2, 1:58), ranks as a half-sister to the Ontario Sires Stake Gold champion Ifhallscouldtalk USA Tr 3, 1:55.4, $331,051) and belongs to the immediate family of the leading sire and broodmare sire Armbro Invasion USA, Armbro Marshall USA ($947,288) and the European Derby winner Mosaique Face.
Walk The Walk USA (Tr 1:55), an older brother to Aldebaran Eagle USA, is now at the stud in Sweden.
Aldebaran Eagle USA progeny is eligible for Vicbred and the Breeders Crown.
